Kaizen Bioservices can provide a wide range of storage services to suit the needs of your collections/ cohorts and can cater for all biological samples and compounds.
Our storage facilities provide large scale high capacity storage solutions from ambient through to -196°C . Kaizen can provide the following storage solutions/ services:
- Fully automated -80°C storage systems
- Semi-automated -80°C storage systems
- Walk in -20°C cold rooms
- -80°C manual freezer storage
- Liquid nitrogen storage

These are some of the common use cases we have for our storage services:
- Storage of your entire collections with Kaizen, including the ability to spread samples over different sites and storage media e.g. -80°C at one location and -196°C for long term secondary back up at another.
- Storage of large cohorts in our fully automated systems to facilitate high speed picking to specific algorithms.
- Back up of your existing facilities with the storage of samples off site with Kaizen Bioservices.
- Management of your freezer collections, both LN2 and freezer systems, by Kaizen at our premises freeing up valuable real estate for you at your institution/ site. We have capacity to take both client owned manual freezers and liquid nitrogen tanks.
- Temporary storage of blood products before ongoing shipment.
Legacy sample storage solutions
All our storage systems have back up systems and contingencies in place to ensure your samples remain safe at all times. These back up solutions range from redundant manual freezer capacity in the event of freezer failure and subsequent sample transfer through to the ability to cool our automated systems with liquid nitrogen should compressors fail (these are themselves covered by dual-redundant systems) and all systems are covered by multiple power substations and should it be required, a backup generator.

All of our storage options are highly energy efficient, Up to 80% more than a conventional laboratory freezer. Sample retrival
Automated systems can store a large variety as well as mixtures of labware types within the same system. Cryovials, microtubes and boxes can all be handled with unique picking technology. More than 1000 labware configurations are available for customer’s specified needs.
